David Pilkington:

Learnt to fly in 1966/67 and started flying aerobatics a few
years later in an Airtourer 100. Moved on to the Pitts and the
Laser (built in partnership with Alan and Jacqui). Twice
Australian Advanced Aerobatic Champion. Sometime Unlimited
Category competitor. Leader of the Aerobatic Club's formation
aerobatic team for a few years.
Currently part-time Grade 1 Flight Instructor with General Flying Services specializing in aerobatics including low level aerobatic training, inverted spinning and tail-wheel training. Low level aerobatic test officer.
On the engineering side - Vice President, Engineering and Test Pilot at Aviat Aircraft, Inc (USA) in the mid-nineties. Returned to Australia as Chief Engineer-Air Vehicles at ASTA Components (Boeing Australia) then Engineering Manager/Chief Engineer at BAE Systems in Melbourne. Currently with GKN Aerospace Engineering Services.
From January, 2000 until 2003, Chairman of the Technical Safety Committee for the International Aerobatic Club.
Held company and private CASA Reg 35 design authority and was USA FAA Designated Engineering Representative for FAR 23 structures.
From April 2005, President of the Australian Aerobatic Club, Victorian Chapter.
